The owner

Adam Jones is the founder of Tree House Bonsai, located in Ami town (Ibaraki prefecture), Japan where you can enjoy a unique place at the crossroads of a bonsai nursery and a traditional Japanese strolling garden. Acting as a bridge between cultures, Adam takes an active role in the new generation of the Bonsai Art practice.

After completing University degrees in The Fine Arts and Education, Adam arranged to build his cultural appreciation and world knowledge by spending a number of years teaching English in various countries throughout Asia. During those years he fell in love with Japanese culture, particularly the art of bonsai.

Adam was certified by the Nippon Bonsai Association in 2018 after a successful five-year apprenticeship at Mansei-en, one of the most renowned bonsai gardens in Japan located in the Omiya Bonsai Village.
